@herrmanndigital This isn’t true or you were misinformed. You have 60 days from loss of coverage to buy an ACA plan. Maybe you weren’t on a credible plan to qualify for an SEP? Buy a short term plan to cover you for emergencies in the meantime and don’t miss the open enrollment window for 2025.

I'm 39 years old, super healthy. Wife is 37, also super healthy. We have two kids, both healthy. We were just denied health care coverage for the rest of 2024 because my wife quit her job to be a stay at home mom and I'm not a W-2 employee, but a business owner. Isn't America great?

IRMAA Question. Client turns 63 in December 2024. High income year. Can we enroll in Medicare at 65 and 1 month (2027) and use 2025 income for IRMAA purposes? Or do we HAVE to enroll in 12/2026 and use 2024 income for IRMAA?

If you work in fintech and create software to help financial planners… Please pay real financial planners as consultants to give you proper feedback. Too many startups spend a ton of time, money, and energy without understanding the personal financial planning process.

@MeasureTwiceMNY We charged people before we had a working product. It was a google form and our “deliverable” was an export from excel. You should have people paying you when it doesn’t even exist yet and then build it into a software.
