Has anyone else noticed the trending page on @tableaupublic no longer returns 20 trending workbooks but instead usually 18?

@tableaupublic I noticed in in my tableau public rankings dashboard. Each column is an hour of the day and you can see the height seems to fluctuate between 16 and 20 trending workbooks public.tableau.com/app/profile/ch…

@chris_vizes @tableaupublic ha.... I can see 16+3 ... 19. Thought may be because of browser resize smaller and showing 3 in a row... Can you check one more time how many you see?

They had such consistent naming too. ThePlatypus, TheEarthquakeRisk, TheHimalayas. Makes the errors nice and easy to spot

I use the tableau public API quite a bit and I think most of the errors I've had related to favourites of content that doesn't exist are for Jonni's work

The single greatest loss of content on Tableau Public was when Jonni Walker deleted their profile. Soooo many beautiful maps gone

It has gotten really complicated to build a map of all profiles as the geographic lookups using city, state and country using Tableau's built in data struggles with working the scenario where state is filled in for some profiles but not others. Needs multiple map layers and more

Tableau Public Data I'm producing a public dashboard to help people find authors near them and I was wondering if that gets any of you excited? Is there something specific you'd like to know?

@chris_vizes That would be interesting. I guess it’s similar to the #datafam finder by @FlerlageKev but that was opt-in only.

@AdrianZinovei I plan to walk people through the process at some stage but at the moment I use different methods for different dashboards. The linked dashboard refreshes daily so is quite up-to-date

On Tableau public, so many dashboards use fonts that I can render (resulting in times new roman). Is this mostly just a windows vs mac divide with the different default fonts installed?

@chris_vizes There are only seven safe fonts. Ive got a sampler on my profile. The rest look ok to authors but shitty to anyone else.
