That’s the season. Devastating final month of games. Can sit here and say we never would’ve expected to be in the mix this year but once the team had so much success and momentum, there’s no other option but to make the playoffs.. this is a playoff team. Thats the expectation now, so it’s a disaster that they didn’t get it done. Future is bright regardless of how negative our isles fan base will be. Tonight, we will not be going to Borrellis.

@anthonymarcotte MSL ain't gonna expose Reinbacker to the islanders first line right off the bat. He's gonna put him on 2nd or 3rd pairing and try to avoid giving him more than 18min. But this is his first NHL game and we should celebrate that.

Dobson can rest easy. The boys will block shots for him until he's back. Reinbacker should be solid. Marty St-Louis will likely protect him and not expose him to the first or secone lines. Gives him the time to watch and catch up with NHL playoff hockey.

With Hage only arriving earliest next April now, have to wonder if it has any impact on Zharovsky, who could also join next April. Also increases the pressure to make a significant move this summer to improve the top 6.
