➡️ National average gas price is $3.17.
➡️ I drove 6,712 miles this month.
At 18mpg, that’s $1,182 in gas. 🤷♂️
I spent $1,395 on charging.
This is a big problem.

@SawyerMerritt We’ve had Tesla insurance here in California since 2019. We currently have a 2019 model X and a 2019 model Y with Tesla insurance. Our last 6 month premium went from $680 to $1558. Just got our renewal email and it’s going up to $1780. Tesla is offering a $53 discount to switch.

Don't think that @Tesla is bringing down the cost of batteries anytime soon. This is the full replacement for a brand new long-range model 3. USAA approved it! It's still legitimately cheaper to replace an LS9 engine out of a Corvette than it is a stupid battery pack

Electric motors are also far more efficient at converting energy into motion
This is why even in areas where fossil-based energy sources dominate the grid, powering a Tesla is still cleaner than a gas vehicle

Simplicity Wins Electric motors (on the left) have fewer parts, wear out less quickly, require less repair and maintenance, have better performance, much lower CO2 generation, and are simply cheaper compared to combustion engines (on the right) and yet legacy car manufacturers don't seem to fully get this simple truth.
