Legalized sports betting destroys the lives of young men. It will turn out to be one of the most harmful public policy decisions ever. I saw a video of a young man with a massive following (his name is Alex Eubank) talking about how a casino offered him $80K/month for a brand deal. He explains that he turned it down because in order for the casino to make money, his audience has to lose money. And whatever they pay him, his audience will lose much more. He talks about how these casinos target influencers with young, impressionable audiences to take advantage of them, and that no amount of money would convince him to take the deal. Mad respect to this young man. The NFL, NBA, and MLB should take notes. Going all in on promoting sports betting to their fans is a disgrace. It’s a morally bankrupt move to drive profits by taking money from young, impressionable, often struggling, men. They should be ashamed.

Friend of mine is 35 years old, married and doesn’t want kids. His household income is roughly $300k/yearly and his house is nearly paid off. They invest a good portion of their income for retirement, take multiple yearly vacations and live a nice life. I think people like this are going to regret not having kids in their future. One day when he’s old all he will have to look back on is the random stuff he bought and wasted money on. Instead of putting that money towards having kids and building a family he’s choosing consumerism. This just seems so wasteful and boring to me.

Therefore, we must restore the military draft for our Nation’s young people. Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity. Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost. By protecting and preserving these Freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion will be united in service to their country and just as importantly, to each other. Many Nations around the world require their young citizens to serve their country. Until recently, our Nation did as well. This would serve many purposes in our society; We would have all of our young men and women put into a rigorous physical training course that they could use for the rest of their lives, we would always have a standing army ready at all times including for domestic problems like natural disasters. Unlike in today’s Universities, our young people will learn how truly great their country is and how unique and incredible are the Freedoms that this Nation bestows upon them. Service is a solemn reminder of the men and women before them who “paid the last full measure of devotion” so that we may enjoy these Freedoms. Also, very importantly, we would have in service every segment of our society represented so that our elected officials would be more hesitant and not cavalier about sending their own sons and daughters off to a faraway war unless it was truly in our Nation’s interests. This discussion and implementation must begin. To the young people of America, this is your country and your future. TRIGGER WARNING: The lawlessness that we are seeing happen across Memphis is caused overwhelmingly by one demographic: black teenagers. Last night on Beale Street there were at least two separate shootings. A mob of some 200 black teens caused mayhem in the $60 million Tom Lee Park before heading to Beale Street. Business owners on Beale tell me there were fights and stampedes all over downtown. At several had to shut down their establishments early because of the violence. The black preachers, black business leaders and black elected leaders need to have a "Come to Jesus" conversation with the citizens of Memphis. Enforce the curfew. Arrest parents who allow their children to break curfew. God only knows much worse last night could have been without the Memphis Safe Task Force. We don't need any more community centers or athletic fields or basketball courts. We need moms and dads to step up and starting parenting. We'll be happy to supply hickory switches and/or belts. And we need a district attorney's office that will fight crime instead of treating the criminals like victims. The time for dancing around this issue with politically correct jargon is over.
