Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond. Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did. The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.

This was just 2 days ago. Kyle Busch was racing his son at the new go kart track in Durham, NC. I nearly got to race with him. I'm shocked and devastated. I spent a lot of time around Kyle all afternoon Tuesday.

I can’t even comprehend the news we received about #kylebusch passing. Thinking about Busch family rt now &NASCAR FANS Just an incredibly sad day. My family & I are devastated sad heartbroken we were his fans since day one. wow RIP KFB. 🙏🏼Race In Peace we lost a good one
