There you go sir, the average return exactly 1 year from a bear market low for the S&P 500 is 43.52%.

@blakedavis50 Would be interesting to see one more column to see what the S&P price was exactly 1 year after that bottom date, and the avg return of said data. Would help the argument of holding through it!

Here's an Excel table I made showing data from every bear market (>20% decline) in the history of the S&P 500. On average, the S&P 500 fell ~37% over the course of 342 days (including weekends/holidays). Notice that we also average roughly 2 rallies of >10% before bottoming.
