“Things Become Other Things” by @craigmod opens on a map and yet ironically I’m already lost.

I can’t get over how the Kindle unceremoniously dumps me on the first page of the book, skipping all the frontmatter. I miss the title that sets the stage, the table of contents that marks the waypoints, the dedication that guides the author’s heart.

@AliasCane @JoyceCarolOates It was Pat Hackett who wrote Warhol’s diaries from their phone calls. I don’t think she taped them. Brigid Berlin was the source for some of the books like “THE Philosophy…”, and she played Andy tapes of phone calls with her own mother.

@JoyceCarolOates That is completely true. That’s how he dictated his diaries. His confidante of choice was the formidable Brigid Berlin (aka The Duchess) who kept myriad tapes of their conversations every evening and every morning for over 22 years until his passing, in 1987.

from what I recall, from a friend (Stephen Koch) who'd been a young friend of Warhol, Andy loved to gossip on the phone & would rather stay home in bed & hear what had happened in his absence, than actually be at the scene. (though this may have been later in his life, post-trauma when he'd almost been killed.)

@seanbonner @nowmedia @saturnial I have an NFT project that is exhibited in a museum right now. Minted on its own contract thankfully, but it was listed on Foundation. I hadn’t heard anything about their troubles until this tweet!
