#TheDevilWearsPrada2 is a difficult sell outside of the mid-2000s world of its predecessor, and yet, this glitzy go ‘round has enough sass, charm & warmth to spare thanks in large part to a dynamite returning cast & eclectic new characters. Instant rewatchability factor! 💅

THE PRESIDENT’S CAKE. A stunningly intimate portrayal of the lives of youth in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. Brought to life with vivid detail, a harrowing story and an ASTONISHING lead performance from Baneen Ahmad Nayyef. One of 2025’s most profoundly-affecting films. Bravo!

#MichaelMovie could almost be mistaken for a greatest hits documentary (Vol. 1) with little attempt at shedding light on the human-being behind the icon. An overall unfulfilling affair despite some truly awe-inspiring set-pieces & a sensational performance from Jaafar Jackson.

APEX. Charlize Theron delivers a staggeringly visceral & emotionally sophisticated performance that propels this beautifully-shot action survival thriller to heart-pounding heights. Taron Egerton is equally brilliant in a devilishly compelling supporting turn. Exhilarating!

FUZE. A competently-crafted crime drama that’s elevated by a game cast (especially Theo James) & some slick editing. Despite some narrative flair, the end result offers up low-stakes energy & ultimately comes up short on thrills.

LEE CRONIN’S THE MUMMY has an abundance of gorgeously gruesome & delightfully disgusting visuals & benefits from Cronin’s expertise in eerie storytelling. That said, the script is a tad too pedestrian to fully captivate but a strong cast & ominous mood overcomes any shortcomings.

The circle of trust just got bigger. Focker-In-Law is in theaters this Thanksgiving.
