If you think about it, isn't Hanasaki Miyabi's story just like a goddamn idol anime plot:
>be you
>just some random nerd in 2019 who’s into vtubers
>audition for a vtuber company you look up to, despite that company only having female streamers
>probably a silly idea but ehh who cares!
>you end up getting interviewed by the CEO himself
>and then he actually hires you?? for... his "new project"?
>ominous music
>you’re excited at first, but quickly realize "new project" also means starting from zero
>you debut to just a couple viewers and a lot of wary, if not downright hostile whispers
>you try to not let it bother you and just do your best as "the first member of holostars, hanasaki miyabi!!!!"
>it's tough for a while, but eventually more members join the group
>some of them you develop a close bond with, others will leave again
>as you focus on growth, the company tells you to become an idol. as in, an idol that performs on stage
>but you can’t really sing or dance very well, and tbh you’re not very active in general, kinda chubby even??? really you're just a nerd who likes video games?????
>uh oh
>y-you're the first member... the founder of holostars, hanasaki miyabi... y-you can do this...
>training arc START!
>big news! with everyone’s combined efforts, a real life group concert has finally been greenlit
>uh oh...
>and apparently you’re assigned center position
>uh oh!!???
>you wonder if that was the right choice, considering there are other members clearly more talented at this stuff
>even so, attending dance lessons together with everyone and seeing them work hard motivates you to do your best as well
>you practice your dance routines alone in the park at night when no one's watching
>this will probably be a one-time thing, so you pour your whole soul into your performance
>which means making your solo a big FFXIV reference because before you're an idol, you're still just a big fat NERD
>the concert is a success!
>thanks to that, a second concert is greenlit!
>and somehow you’re assigned center again???
>you tell everyone that you’re okay with someone else taking center position this time
>but all they say is: “no way, it has to be miyabi-senpai.”
>"after all, you're the founder of holostars!"
>oh...
>that's true... isn't it...
>then you'll just have give it your all! as long as everyone is with you, you can do anything!!!
>and that's how a little guy with no idol experience went from streaming to 10 viewers to performing live at a sold-out zepp diver city tokyo
(then uproar debuted and the story ends. nothing bad ever happened)
