@chrypnotoad @_ceee_ In these cases, I agree. Especially with pointillism. But typical brush strokes, especially with Impressionism, are visible without zooming. Still, I’m not going to deny anyone their opinions bc they can’t travel to see original works.

i joke but like *why* should looking at the physical painting be a different experience than an image on a screen or a print on paper? What if we reproduced with perfect texture mapping? what if it was device that made your brain do the same thing that it does when seeing it irl?
