NEW: Lincoln Riley believes USC has now entered its championship window, he tells @whalexander_✌️ “Taking this over, you knew you had to go fight like hell just to try to get this window opened.” Exclusive: on3.com/news/lincoln-r…

Reminder- This is Indiana in 2021. Most of their fans today are fake.

I would NOT want to play Marcus Freeman next season that’s for sure.

In spite of interest from several NFL teams, Marcus Freeman still is expected to remain at Notre Dame for the 2026 season, per sources.

Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman on USC series/pause: "That rivalry's important for college football, and I'm confident that ... we'll get that rivalry back." Says he respects USC's position, notes that moving a Week 12 game to Week 0 "isn't what's best for our program."

Marcus Freeman was proud of Notre Dame’s captains for deciding it wouldn’t be right for the Irish to play in the Pop-Tarts Bowl, via @ND_HCTI.

The last offer was in bad faith, knowing damn well you can’t play week 0 games unless it’s in a foreign country, Hawaii, or if you got a waiver. This rivalry used to determine National Champions. Your legitimate reported excuse was concern with the timing of a loss impacting CFP opportunities. That is beyond fucking cowardly. And to demand week 0 isn’t a compromise. That’s a demand. You blew up negotiations on an MOU that YOU ALREADY KNEW ABOUT as an excuse to end negotiations. Your joke of a coach and AD have been trying to get out of this rivalry for a year. You doubted the series. You opened negotiations. You had a 2 year extension that you blew up over a complete lie. You then made a bad faith offer for a meaningless, de-valued game without any stakes to be played presumably in a neutral site outside the US. Absolutely fuck off with your blame on Notre Dame. This entire debacle is entirely on you. Good on ND for putting their foot down and rejecting your bad faith “final offer” that again only came about after “learning” about the MOU you already knew about. Classless, lying frauds who then leaked that information to try to get other schools to stop scheduling ND over the MOU that every school has already been informed of. Jen Cohen should be fired. And many of your actual alumni agree with us on this matter.

When you’re a full and committed member of an elite conference like USC/BIG, you no longer need semi committed rivals from weaker conferences. Trojans were increasingly making the bigger sacrifice.

Here’s how Notre Dame can exit their affiliate membership and completely destroy the ACC as we know it: 1. Notre Dame’s cleanest exit from the ACC deal: Sue for breach of anti disparagement clause over the 2025 CFP sabotage. Win = walk away penalty-free 2. Partial-member buyout: ND’s buyout is ~$50-100M today (way less than a full member’s $165+), but a successful breach lawsuit makes it $0 + possible $20-50M in damages from the ACC. 3. Hypothetical future: ND flips to a Big Ten partial deal in 2027 - 5 rotating B1G games/yr + fixed rivalry - Keep full NBC money + $15M affiliate check - Auto bowl ties & stronger CFP path. Big Ten gets massive ratings. In the end, ACC loses its golden goose and FSU & Clemson leave shortly after. The ACC collapses. Nuclear Button unlocked ☘️ ☢️ #GoIrish

What if ACC and perhaps some other power conferences simply declined to schedule Notre Dame What then
