The Lee County GOP here in Fort Myers, Florida will be protesting at a school board meeting next week because a teacher had this bulletin board up. They say that the “Hate has no home here banner promotes "woke indoctrination”. Michael Thompson, the chairman of the Lee County Republican Executive Committee says that “The issue at hand is that the district needs to get out of having any type of political influence on our children.” So telling kids to not be hateful towards the LGBT community and African Americans, is NOW considered “political influence and indoctrination”? Get the hell out of here! I’m not afraid of my kids seeing this bulletin board. I can’t believe people actually are.

At the age of 16, Annelise Michel began blacking out at school and would soon start convulsing, vomiting, eating spiders, and coal, and even drinking her own urine. After undergoing 67 exorcisms, she died in 1976. She died of malnutrition, for which her parents and priest were convicted of negligent homicide. At the time of her death, she only weighed only 67 pounds. Doctors came to the conclusion she suffered from Grand Mal Epilepsy and Psychosis. Her story directly inspired the 2005 film "The Exorcism of Emily Rose".

Until the 1970, the majority of the people were fit as a fiddle! No keto, vegan, or paleo diets. No home aerobics or gym memberships. No fancy fitness tech or wellness influencers. They also weren't drinking protein shakes or counting calories. So, what went wrong? A THREAD 🧵⬇️

Is this hypocrisy? Yesterday Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed an Executive Order to ban "woke nonsense" language from the State Government. This includes phrases like "pregnant people," "laboring person," "birth-giver,” etc. Why are all the free speech supporters suddenly sitting on their hands? You know very well that if this was a Democrat banning words and phrases, there would be copies of the First Amendment stapled on every telephone pole in America.

@krassenstein @Cerra__ You should do a ‘man on the street’ type interview with Gen-Z’ers and see if that holds true.

Yeah. I would argue that 18 to 25 year olds likely know more about government than many 30 to 50 year olds. They learn it in school and it’s a lot more fresh in their minds. I would also say that they’re much more attuned to technology, and understand how technology will impact the future much better than the average voter does. Voting is much more than simply civics.

Vivek Ramaswamy, has proposed raising the voting age from 18 to 25 unless you pass a test. If I was Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign advisor I’d we scrapping this idea immediately. Here’s why. Generation Z voters, like most voters between the ages of 18 and 25 are some of the most unengaged voters. Nothing will make them engaged and fired up more than someone trying to take their votes away. It is a massive losing battle in a general election. Agree?

@EdKrassen Serious question: what’s the difference in him saying COLORED people and you saying BLACK people. Seems like identical terminology philosophy.

This. Is. Not. OK. Republican Congressman Eli Crane from Arizona called black people “Colored people” on the House floor yesterday. Crane specifically said, “Mr. Chairman, that was unbelievably inspiring, my amendment has nothing to do with whether or not colored people or black people or anybody can serve. Okay? It has nothing to do with colors of your skin — any of that stuff.” Democrat Congresswoman Joyce Beatty then interjected and asked that Crane’s use of the words “colored people” be stricken from the record. She said “I find it offensive and very inappropriate,” before continuing “I am asking for unanimous consent to take down the words of referring to me or any of my colleague as ‘colored people.’ What causes this? It was obviously a slip-up, but people who slip up like this do so for a reason. Someone who doesn’t use this term with their friends typically doesn’t accidentally say it when they are speaking in public. Does anyone think this is OK?

Who would win an Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg cage fight? Keep in mind that according to unofficial sources, Zuckerberg is 5-foot-7, 154 pounds while Musk is 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Personally I think it would be quite a sloppy fight with Zuckerberg ending up disqualifying himself by biting off Elon’s ear in the 3rd round. Just my opinion.

@bgg2wl @wwbein @NathanCHubbard So why couldn’t the professor be verified before? If he is who he says, he should get the blue check, no matter the amount of followers etc

@wwbein @NathanCHubbard This kind of resentment is what made dismantling of the verification system so easy. Lacking a blue check doesn’t mean you’re a nobody. It DID, however, mean the company was invested in ensuring it was clear that you ARE who you said you were. It’s verification, not validation.

BREAKING: A mass shooting has taken place at the Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Additional details: - The school teaches pre-school through sixth grade - At least 4 dead according to early reports. - The shooter has been killed. - The Nashville FD says that Parents coming to the school should go to 20 Burton Hills. I’m so sick of our young children having to worry about getting killed while being educated. This must stop now.
