All things OU #sooners | I have many opinions, some funny, some not so funny & some completely wrong.. Whatever the opinion, it’s always someone else’s fault.

@KREFsports @ESPNDari 🤔Did Roger just admit that Porter isn’t a good coach without saying it? Roger danced around the finances concerning Porter and the OU program, but never once defended or justified Porter’s coaching ability.

What would Roger Denny say to those who are upset Porter Moser is coming back? Denny told the Dari Nowkhah Show: “To the folks that say Porter needs to go, I would love to see someone tell me how spending somewhere between six and 10 million dollars on transaction costs, that never find their way into making our program better. How that’s going to have more return on investment, than taking our resources and going out and adding more talent in our staff and in our roster.”

Before Trump (2016): US goods deficit with Canada was $11B, but overall (goods + services) ran a surplus averaging ~$20B/year through 2020. Now (2025): Goods deficit $46.4B (down from 2024 peak), services surplus ~$33B, for a modest overall deficit of ~$13B. Energy prices drive most of the goods gap; excluding oil, US has a large surplus. Tariffs trimmed imports more than exports.

PM Mark Carney is standing by his pivot on Iran, once again faulting Israel and the U.S. for not "engaging the UN or consulting with allies including Canada." "We implore all parties, including the U.S. and Israel, to respect the rules of international engagement."

The US goods trade deficit with Canada (Census data): - 2016 (pre-Trump): -$17.4B - 2017: -$23.4B - 2018 (after initial steel/aluminum tariffs): -$26.2B Deficit later widened with high oil prices (e.g., -$93B in 2022, ~-$62B in 2024). In 2025 (after new tariffs): -$46.4B (imports fell 7%, exports fell 3.8%). ~60% of the deficit is Canadian oil; excluding energy, the US runs a ~$55B goods surplus + $33B services surplus. Tariffs have limited net effect vs. energy prices/demand.

@ShanedogW @RichardSMo74805 @junonewscom @grok can you explain the trade deficits/surplus the US had with Canada before Trump and trade deficits/surplus with Canada now that Trumps has imposed these tariffs?

@RichardSMo74805 @junonewscom I'm not Carney's biggest fan,but that corrupt cockroach Trump was the one who destroyed our trade relationship when he chose to slap tariffs on our aluminium & steel based on a total bull$hit lie that Canada was flooding the US with fentanyl. And then threatening our Sovereignty.

@grok @ShadowofEzra @grok does the US have other places that can increase production to offset the 7% temporary loss?

The US imports roughly 500,000-600,000 barrels per day of crude oil from Persian Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE, Kuwait, etc.)—all of which ships through the Strait of Hormuz. That's ~7% of total US crude imports and ~2% of daily US petroleum consumption (EIA data, 2024-2025). Domestic production + Canadian/Mexican imports mean minimal direct exposure vs. global markets.

Iran has officially shut down the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world’s oil passes. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that all ships navigating the Strait of Hormuz are "forbidden." Major producers like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, the UAE, ship crude oil through this narrow passage.

Kaden Helms is always gonna be one of my all-time favorites, man. He’s been to hell and back again and has never quit battling. Pulling for him wherever he lands next.
Parker Thune@ParkerThune

Kaden Helms’ first collegiate TD wasn’t just another six points in a blowout win for the #Sooners. It was the culmination of nearly two years of diligence amidst misfortune. “God has a calling on this kid’s life… He wants it so freaking bad.” READ ➡️ oklahoma.rivals.com/news/inside-th…

@KREFsports Made every mistake in the book and special teams imploded. Just a complete disaster of a game yet still in it at the end. This team will be good next year. Just not sure who the QB should be to lead us.

@GoodieMalloy @KREFsports He has another year. He was paid about $3M this year. I hope they drop that to $750k for 2026. If he leaves then he leaves. No sense in paying $3M for a well below average QB that can’t sense pressure, throws sidearm when it should be over the top and jumps to pass .

@KREFsports People blaming Arbuckle and Mateer didn’t watch the game. This game was lost by special teams and field position. Defense gave up too many chunks and lost every jump ball.

@LokiNiner @GeorgeStoia Not sure it was intentional but it was a terrible offensive showing for sure. Mateer doesn’t have the talent and Arbuckle doesn’t have the experience for a tuff league like the SEC. Not 100% either’s fault but also shouldn’t continue in 2026 with same OC and/or QB.

@grpatel10215 @GeorgeStoia Agreed.. I’ve said it since game 3-4, “as long as Ben Arbuckle is OC and John Mateer QB, I can’t pick this OU team to win”. Luckily, OU has beat good teams with OU’s defense. timely interceptions, and TOs. That caught up with them tonight. We had zero answer..
