Everyday, the ADC party continues to show Peter Obi and Kwankwaso that they dodged a bullet. Just when the David Mark-led ADC thought all coasts had been cleared and the party was finally ripe enough to conduct its primary elections today, another dramatic twist emerged. The Dumebi Kachukwu ADC faction came out with an announcement that it had not only dissolved the National Working Committee but it has also conducted its own primaries and settled for Dumebi Kachukwu as its sole candidate. At this point, one has to ask a simple question: where exactly is the ADC party heading? If the party goes ahead to field candidates in the 2027 elections without first settling its internal crisis, it may end up reaping empty rewards at the end of the day, even if it manages to secure some seats across the nation. What makes the situation even more complicated is that the crisis is coming from different directions at the same time. On one side, the Nafiu Bala Gombe faction is already in court dragging the party. On the other side, the Dumebi Kachukwu faction is staking its own claim and conducting parallel activities.
