G-ISLP is now not due in service until the 1st April. However, there’s the chance it won’t make an appearance then either, especially given the day 😅

In Guernsey, the new Heathrow route launch date edges closer. G-ISLP, Aurigny’s new ATR 72-600, will also be making its debut. It’s scheduled to be in service on the 31st March on the GR600.

With the clocks changing tomorrow, the northern IATA Summer season for aviation begins. This means the start of some routes in the Channel Islands again. In Jersey, easyJet will bring back Edinburgh and launch Southend. Belfast already began this week. #aviation #guernsey #jersey

G-ISLP is back in Guernsey today! Its former Blue Islands livery, which lasted only around 11 months, has now been removed, leaving the aircraft in an all-white scheme. #aviation #travel #guernsey #aurigny

And speaking of ex-Blue Islands aircraft on the move, the ATR 72-500 previously registered G-ISLM is now down under and set to enter service as VH-FVX with Aerlink. The aircraft spent much of last week trekking across Europe and Asia to its new home on temporary reg 2-ISLM.

Aurigny’s newly acquired (ex-Blue Islands) ATR 72-600 G-ISLP is set to fly to Exeter tomorrow for further works, marking its first flight since the previous carrier’s collapse last November. It’s expected to enter commercial service with the airline in late March/early April.

The chaos for Aurigny continues today. Persistent fog throughout the day has continued to cause issues. Two half term Grenoble ski flights were cancelled yesterday, and Titan was brought in to operate a combined service on their A320 today. However it’s delayed due to fog.

On Aurigny’s ATRs equipped with the ClearVision system (G-OGFC, G-OATR and G-ORAI) the minimum visibility needed is around 400m. However only 2 are in service at the moment, with G-OATR in maintenance in Dinard.

Many flights continue to see delays and cancellations. To land in Guernsey aircraft need a visibility of at least 550m and to be visual with the runway at a certain height - so high enough visibility doesn’t guarantee a landing. #aviation #travel #fog

A messy morning for Loganair in Jersey. It’s ATR 72 diverted back to the island twice on two different flights today. An E145 from Southampton was called in to operate some flights to keep people moving, but there have been some delays to flights. #aviation #jersey #loganair

Fog in the Channel Islands is causing disruption to flights. The current visibility in Jersey is only 200m, well below what is required for landing. As such, two flights are now diverting back to their origins, with two more still sitting in the hold awaiting an improvement.
