@jacobrosecrants I’m torn. On one hand, these kids seem pretty brainless for jumping on this bandwagon. On the other hand, getting away from the public school system for any length of time is a good idea.
The Red Pen of Truth makes the Governor’s recent post regarding high school students exercising their rights of peaceful protest…make more sense. Though I don’t condone skipping class, I’m quite proud of these students for standing up for their beliefs! 👏👏👏
The Yellow Highlighter of Truth and I applaud not only a federal judge’s decision to order the release of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos & his father from ICE detention (both snatched from Minnesota & detained in Texas), but also the strong words he used in the decision.

@jacobrosecrants Lao had a choice between law and lawlessness. He had a choice between Citizens and aliens.
Lao doesn’t care if criminals move into your neighborhood.
He has chosen lawlessness and criminality.
Lao has an IQ of 13 and would sell you out for a milkbone.
Be smarter than Lao.
Ruben, in your profanity laced video you state that there is no reason that this administration is going after Senator Kelly.
You are either lying or unaware of 18 U.S.C. § 2387 in the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
This section prohibits inciting or abetting mutiny or sedition in the U.S. armed forces.
Sedition is speech or conduct that incites rebellion or insurrection against a government or authority.
I have noticed how the group who made this video have all agreed publicly that no unlawful orders have been given.
They have then all stated that it’s just a reminder to our armed forces of their rights and responsibilities.
As servicemen ourselves we are both aware that all servicemen and women are already trained and educated of these rights and responsibilities in basic training.
If the intention of your colleagues was solely to remind our service members of their rights and responsibilities then why didn’t they make this video when Joe Biden was CIC?
You remember him right? The guy who didn’t know where he was half the time and who could barely string together a coherent sentence.
The fact of the matter is that we all know why the video was made. If/when Senator Kelly is recalled to active duty for a court martial the American people will get educated themselves regarding the UCMJ and the provisions within it to deter this very conduct.
‘I actually disavow the use of the term the melting pot’ because it’s too inclusive — Dearborn mayor
In a melting pot, ‘everything looks the same’
‘We’re the salad bowl. The lettuce is lettuce. The tomato is tomato’
@ciahfjb In this case the how isn’t, bc it’s the same way we pay for stuff already. We always seem to have 💴 for the wealthy & for war. So yes we can absolutely find money to take care of people. It’s not about ‘how can we pay for it,’ it’s about who we choose to pay for.
When we raise the minimum wage (& tie to inflation), expand access to affordable childcare, increase affordable housing, provide universal healthcare, increase paid fam leave/sick leave, strengthen unions/worker protections, & fully fund job training…many folk won’t need SNAP.
@jacobrosecrants I would support going back to govt cheese, community chest, and workfare as opposed to welfare, that’s about as far as I’d be willing to compromise.
@jacobrosecrants We’re $37 Trillion in debt, I don’t want to spend for war either. The money we spend on poverty creates perpetual, generational poverty. It only enriches the people running the programs. We must cut spending to the essentials only.
The gov’t already takes a third of my money against my will, and you (the political class writ large) spend it on things that make you feel good, but the problem is that those programs don’t work. If we spend $30 billion on the homeless last year, did we solve anything? I know people that have gotten out of poverty. Govt assistance (I won’t say it didn’t help from time-to-time) is not how they ultimately got out of poverty.
@aaron4tvlse@ciahfjb Yup. I’ve come to the conclusion that most of our issues aren’t Republican v Democrat…they’re regular Americans vs. the ultra wealthy & large corporations.
@aaron4tvlse@jacobrosecrants If you stole every billionaire Oklahomans money, you could double the state budget for about four years. Sounds impressive. After four years of double funding, none of the listed problems would actually have been solved.
@aaron4tvlse@jacobrosecrants If your solution involves stealing some one else’s money, count me out. Don’t mean to include you in the responses to this clown Rosecrants. Don’t know how to untagyou, sorry.
@aaron4tvlse@jacobrosecrants And once you’ve used up their money, none of those problems will have been solved. Pretty sure that you know it and don’t care.
@jacobrosecrants I disagree, the how is always important. I understand utopian ideals, but practical realities are important. You don’t solve poverty by throwing money at the issue. The taxpayer can’t be the easy button. Handouts drive dependency.
@ciahfjb Instead of asking how, you should be asking why we don’t already. Poverty, hunger, homelessness…these things cost the taxpayer more in ER trips, policing, lost productivity, etc. We should be looking to invest in fixing the root of the problems, rather than the symptoms.
