Upgrade SmartHarvest with Lora Technologies and a real-time dashboard to monitor soil moisture and pH levels. The excitement was contagious  every team member had a role, from soldering circuits to configuring sensor readings and testing functionality. #CIC_UG #ASKnet

Day 1 of our “From Prototype to Product” workshop is off to a great start! Students from the Learnify Innovation Club are back to refine their earlier prototypes, the Electric School Bell and SmartHarvest IoT Irrigation System.

🙏 Thanks to #ASKnet for entrusting #CIC_UG with a platform to mentor young tech enthusiasts in rural schools like Ofua Secondary school in Rhino camp refugee settlement through the #Leranify_Innovatio_Club. Rural schools are emerging as leaders in grassroots innovation.

The event united stakeholders, educators, and community leaders in bridging the digital divide and advancing sustainable tech education.

📍 Today, #Ofua_SS in Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement marked a milestone in digital innovation, transforming a simple idea into a vibrant, student-led tech hub.

The community showed deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the CIC-UG team, ASKnet, and r0g for this great act of service. This is more than fixing gadgets it’s about empowering youth, building skills, and strengthening communities through innovation and collaboration.

Our skilled CIC repair experts, together with trained ASKnet beneficiaries, successfully repaired over 250 mobile phones and other devices giving new life to essential communication tools for refugees and host community members alike!
