@SheLoves_Thee @iwrite2praise How old was John Lewis when he spearheaded Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee? Ruby Bridges would love a word! If they are old enough to be drafted they are old enough to make concerted efforts to fight for equality!

This spring, Morgan State University conferred a record-breaking 292 master’s degrees and 81 doctoral degrees, the highest totals in the University's history.
The growth of the School of Graduate Studies was also reflected on stage during last week’s Graduate Commencement Ceremony, as MBA recipient Michael Prescott Jr. and Dr. Kameko Johnson-Styles of Morgan’s inaugural Doctor of Social Work cohort inspired fellow graduates and attendees with messages of perseverance, purpose, and excellence.

Rebecca Inge, a 75-year-old grandmother from Raleigh, North Carolina, made history by graduating from Shaw University, fulfilling a dream she first started 57 years earlier in 1965.
After pausing her studies to raise a family and work at places like NASA and Disney World, she returned decades later (following her husband’s passing) to finally walk across the stage with the Class of 2022.
She proved it’s never too late to chase your goals and complete what you started.
Inspiring legend! 👏🏽👏🏽

Jordan Chadwick came to Bowie State with a passion for communications and public service — and a vision for the long game. 🎓
Graduating with a degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, Jordan's connection to BSU began at a high school computer camp where he knew Bowie State was home.
Now, he plans to continue working with State Del. Derek Coley through the next legislative session while preparing for the LSAT and applying to law school.
The work is just getting started, Jordan. Congratulations. 🖤💛

A short list of everyone who got reparations:
- slave owners who went bankrupt after the Civil War
- Jewish survivors of the Holocaust
- Japanese survivors of US internment camps
- Native Americans through the Indian Claims Commission and multiple other legislation
- Miners for radiation exposure
- Sterilization victims
- U.S. farmers during Trump 1.0
There is no reason Black people shouldnt be compensated for centuries of slavery and decades of segregation. We’re not even out of Jim Crow.

The issue was never simply a bill.
Black political representation is not a side issue.
The issue is whether institutions that benefit from Black talent, Black labor, and Black communities are willing to speak when Black political power is under attack.
Let this be a reminder that silence in moments of injustice carries consequences.
