@London_W4 Alastair, just wondered if they still have the piano in the corner by the door in the bar room……had some great Friday nights there in the past, with an old boy who literally took the front of the piano off,and could he play❤️

And now I’m here. In England. A beautiful old wood sign, the stocks (we could do with these in London), a village community owned shop from which I’ve just bought a pork pie that’s local and strawberry jam made by someone in the village and the pub. This is perfection.

In the supermarket and wondering if I should buy these Brewdog beers as an investment. Could be collectors items soon.

Good morning you gorgeous little petals of loveliness. Sunrise over the Thames at Chiswick in London. I took this some time ago. As I stood there very early one morning in the peace and quiet, I had the whole world to myself. Then the birds took flight and there was the photo. Speaking of peace; my top tip for enjoying your day, is to wake up, press like or retweet on my posts, have a scroll through the other stuff on here, but not for more than two minutes or you’ll become angry and your day will be ruined. Instead, go out and enjoy the beauty all around. Unless you’re in Whitechapel, in which case you’ll have to go somewhere else to find the beauty all around :) Have a wonderful Friday.

The personal assistant to the man I am meeting with this morning has just asked me if I would like, "Schnapps with coffee" My brother lied all those years, these business meetings are easy work.

And then, as I wandered through the woods today, there was a clearing and there was a little thatched cottage with a rustic barn. I don’t know who lives here, but I’m pretty sure that The Brothers Grimm wrote a story about this place.

@London_W4 If you’re around Burley, the Burbush car park by the old railway line on the Bransgore road out of the village is where the Cuckoos starts singing early in the morning.

Mornin’. I had the idea of getting up really early to watch the sunrise over the New Forest. This is beyond stunning. The birdsong and that gorgeous crescent moon. One of my better ideas

EMERGENCY WARNING. Today there is already an event of this. Professor Marandi states the same network that pulled off 9/11 is preparing a massive false flag attack on US soil. They are losing the war and need to slaughter American civilians to justify dragging the US deeper.

This is Nick Brown a Labour MP sacked because serious criminal allegations were made against him. He was allowed to retire without any criminal investigation. To this day not a single police force has investigated his alleged crimes. No one in the British press is allowed to ask questions or report on this. He was a very high ranking senior MP very well connected to all the Labour top knobs. Don’t let this be forgotten. It is rumoured the allegations if investigated would bring down the entire Labour government.

A shout out for Apios americana, or hopniss. It’s a climbing vine that produces edible tubers. Starchier than a potato and with a higher dry mass, they fry up really well. The yield isn’t as high as potato but they’re perfect for scrambling up a high boundary fence.

Well, I think I’m single-handedly keeping Chiswick Post Office going. Always happy to give the brilliant Andy who works there money for his great service. Today, it was £540. So now I’m here and have scraped some pennies together for a pint of Bass. Incredibly, I only came to this pub for the first time very recently. The Duchess W6. Cheers 🍻

Before and after the digger. Feels bare but a necessary job to remove large volumes of accumulated farm junk On this section of yard we removed two skips of waste (mostly glass, metal, treated wood and plastic) This area will be planted up with fruit and nut trees & wildflowers

@KingRat867 @CrazyVibes_1 Also those potatoes should be covered(kept in a paper sack or cardboard box) to stop the light turning them green

@CrazyVibes_1 aesthetics aside, but I think it looks fine. Onions emit ethylene gas, which causes potatoes to sprout and rot faster. Meanwhile, potatoes release moisture that causes onions to soften and turn moldy......they shouldn't be stored together at all...no matter how it looks

@aledeniz The UK post (and surely others) used to have a dedicated service: the dead letter office. Their sole job was deciphering these kinds of addresses and delivering them

I used to send letters to Sicily addressed like that in my youth. I was posting them for my elders, who may not have known the exact address of the person they were trying to reach. They taught me to write something like, “the postman will figure it out”. As long as the postcode was included, the postmen always figured out the correct destination. This no longer works. It probably stopped working for Sicily around 20 years ago.
Fr Benedict Andersen@benquivenit

Having lived in Ireland, I can affirm that this letter would probably reach its destination.
