@London_W4 Alastair, just wondered if they still have the piano in the corner by the door in the bar room……had some great Friday nights there in the past, with an old boy who literally took the front of the piano off,and could he play❤️

@London_W4 Do you have the Merlin ID App on your phone…….I must be mad up at 5am,head out the window holding the mobile, and it identifying the birds singing🙄

Good morning you gorgeous little petals of loveliness. Sunrise over the Thames at Chiswick in London. I took this some time ago. As I stood there very early one morning in the peace and quiet, I had the whole world to myself. Then the birds took flight and there was the photo. Speaking of peace; my top tip for enjoying your day, is to wake up, press like or retweet on my posts, have a scroll through the other stuff on here, but not for more than two minutes or you’ll become angry and your day will be ruined. Instead, go out and enjoy the beauty all around. Unless you’re in Whitechapel, in which case you’ll have to go somewhere else to find the beauty all around :) Have a wonderful Friday.

@no1sunkfarmer @benonwine They’re only following Boris’s Conservatives…….both parties,”It’s not what you know,it’s who you know”😬
English

@archer_rs I prefer it “Normandy style” with an added shot of Calvados.

@London_W4 I’d love to know that app that identifies the birds singing in your dawn chorus……missed that.

@London_W4 If you’re around Burley, the Burbush car park by the old railway line on the Bransgore road out of the village is where the Cuckoos starts singing early in the morning.

This is Nick Brown a Labour MP sacked because serious criminal allegations were made against him.
He was allowed to retire without any criminal investigation.
To this day not a single police force has investigated his alleged crimes.
No one in the British press is allowed to ask questions or report on this.
He was a very high ranking senior MP very well connected to all the Labour top knobs.
Don’t let this be forgotten.
It is rumoured the allegations if investigated would bring down the entire Labour government.

Well, I think I’m single-handedly keeping Chiswick Post Office going. Always happy to give the brilliant Andy who works there money for his great service. Today, it was £540. So now I’m here and have scraped some pennies together for a pint of Bass. Incredibly, I only came to this pub for the first time very recently. The Duchess W6. Cheers 🍻

@TatwsTrading @DragonDairy With a doggy look like that and nose twitching,I’d say he’s got a soft spot for a nibble of that Dragon Dairy cheese.

@briar_farm Didn’t realise you have another glasshouse bramble wise to deal with…..small excavator did a good job.

@KingRat867 @CrazyVibes_1 Also those potatoes should be covered(kept in a paper sack or cardboard box)
to stop the light turning them green
English

@CrazyVibes_1 aesthetics aside, but I think it looks fine.
Onions emit ethylene gas, which causes potatoes to sprout and rot faster. Meanwhile, potatoes release moisture that causes onions to soften and turn moldy......they shouldn't be stored together at all...no matter how it looks

@pieterdeco @aledeniz Back in the ‘90’s I had a letter from a dear old lady in Normandy addressed to my carrier bag logo..Eli Sims C1920 Went to that dead letter office in Northern Ireland (it went back to France once!)on the envelope had sticker try Burley, our postman figured it out!
English

I used to send letters to Sicily addressed like that in my youth. I was posting them for my elders, who may not have known the exact address of the person they were trying to reach. They taught me to write something like, “the postman will figure it out”.
As long as the postcode was included, the postmen always figured out the correct destination.
This no longer works. It probably stopped working for Sicily around 20 years ago.
Fr Benedict Andersen@benquivenit
Having lived in Ireland, I can affirm that this letter would probably reach its destination.
