This is the birthday cake Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir received from his wife. A giant noose in the center. Hebrew text around it reads: “Happy birthday Minister Ben-Gvir - sometimes dreams come true.” The “dream” is the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners. The whole thing is not a joke or a fringe moment. It reflects the prevalence of a mindset within the ruling Israeli government that openly celebrates the hanging of Palestinians while its army occupies, bombs, & demolishes Lebanon and Gaza. A regime that turns the gallows into a birthday cake has no claim to morality. This is exactly the government the U.S. Embassy in Beirut is pressuring Lebanon to shake hands with. Never.
