CIHP participated in the official unveiling of the Women in Public Health Leadership for Africa (WiPHLA) initiative, themed “Leadership Effectiveness Among Women Leaders at the Frontline of Community Service.”

Their insights and feedback are helping to ensure the materials are clear, culturally relevant, user-friendly, and ready for finalization and nationwide rollout. These findings are shaping KMC materials that communities can understand, trust, and use to support healthier newborns

A proven, life-saving intervention for preterm and low-birth-weight babies. The field testing featured a series of focus group discussions (FGDs) with diverse groups: Healthcare workers, women of reproductive age, men, traditional, and Religious leaders

CIHP, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, successfully conducted the field testing of Nigeria’s first-ever Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) Information, Education & Communication (IEC) materials across Oyo, Enugu, and Kano States.

Amongst pregnant & breastfeeding women has grown from 24% to 42% (2022- to date) and it keeps rising. At CIHP, our commitment is unwavering. We will continue to expand access, strengthen linkages, and empower communities for healthier mothers & children.

We recently hosted one of these impactful events in Agbulegba, Ifako LGA, where CIHP also shared special delivery “Mama Packs’’ to support expectant mothers. Thanks to efforts like this, HIV testing services coverage

The Mother Love Party continues to be a powerful community platform for reaching pregnant women and young children with essential HIV services, including HIV testing, prevention counselling, and post-violence care screening for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
