Year 9 had an informative and enlightening day yesterday, working with Solutions for the Planet. They were supported in creating their own Big Ideas to promote sustainability. Some students were confident in their ideas and presented them to the rest of the year group.

Learning another language matters. Not just because it opens your mind to other ways of life and other people's outlooks on the world, but because it creates new connections, opens doors you didn't even know were there, and celebrates humanity. Another language is another life.

With the help of over 250 students, last night we held our fantastic Open Evening. The evening was a huge success and we thank everyone who attended.

On Friday, students in Year 7 enjoyed a day of team building activities. In their groups they tried a variety of different problem solving activities. They had really fun day and we are so proud of how well they worked together to solve the problems.

@wmarybeard I have an NHS eye test annually and the optician always shows a number plate on the screen to test that I can see it clearly.

As an over 70 I will be happy to take a driving eye test. But headlines are so full of emotive language. “FORCED” to take a test (“required” wd be better) “BANNED” if they fail (“would not have licence renewed”). After all we all took compulsory eye test when we got our licences.
