This year, more than 12 million people chose to spend their time in Circle communities. As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about the special moments happening in our communities every day for those millions of people. While other platforms are built to keep people scrolling, our communities help people learn new skills, take new directions, and create meaningful change for themselves and others. Far from mindless engagement, Circle communities are about enabling personal and professional transformations. It's easy to forget that every transformation is a life changing event. For some, this could be a new career or a business, and for others it's a new lifestyle. Not many in the world get to claim something as good and grand as their vocation, but we do. We also believe in our heart that making money, impact, and meaning shouldn’t be a trade-off. We think there’s a way for every creator, entrepreneur, and business to achieve all three, and to stop for nothing less. Once you’ve truly achieved it, you get to jump out of bed every morning with insatiable passion, purpose, and desire to build something beautiful for the world. Like I do every day! On that note, I made a short video reflecting on this theme and our most notable releases this year. We wanted to share the experience of seeing their community on a big stage, and celebrate this milestone with them! They brought the theme of our campaign to life: “Whatever it is, there’s a Circle for that.”

It's one of those fun and vibey days at Circle today! We're excited to announce Circle Connect: our way of helping members form true connections in communities. The Internet used to be about making true connections... But somewhere along the way, we've started to lose that. Posts, likes, reels, and stories took over, and "content" became king. While content has a part to play in communities, we at Circle want to do our part in making the Internet feel a lot more human again. Connect will be key to our part in this. Let's bring back those moments in our communities when strangers turn into collaborators, and collaborators into friends 🤝

From run clubs to diabetes support groups, Circle helps creators and brands build homes for their communities, memberships, events, courses, and more.

14 years ago, I made my first ever trip to New York City as a tourist from New Zealand. After a month of walking every inch of this city while blasting Jay Z’s “Empire State of Mind”, the city started to seep into my soul. A day before I was supposed to fly back to New Zealand, I got the chance to go in an interview at a young startup, where the founders were kind enough to offer me a job on the spot (thanks Stefan & Michael!) That interview happened in a building near Times Square, and the whole experience was right out of a movie scene. I finally made it to New York City, where I’ve lived for the past decade+, met my wife, became a father, and started a company. Flash forward... A couple days ago, we took over Times Square with a Circle campaign featuring some of our coolest customers, including Ali Abdaal, Entreprenista, TroopHR, Jay Clouse, Mila, Codecademy, The Running Channel, and Pat Flynn! The theme of the campaign was: “Whatever it is, there’s a Circle for that.” This campaign was our love letter to New York City and our community builders, both of whom make dreams happen for millions of people ❤️

Just got back from our 9th offsite in stunning Cascais, Portugal 🇵🇹 This was a week I couldn’t dream up even if I tried, for a few reasons: 1) Portugal is the birth place of Circle and where we committed to starting the company almost 6 years ago 2) The team is now 200+ people 3) Portugal is home to my co-founder, Rudy, who played host to the company 4) Every Circle team member I talked to said something to the effect of: "It's the best company I've ever worked for, and I hope our culture stays this way forever." I find it mind blowing that our team feels this way six years in. 5) And finally, because my parents were able to make it to our family farewell dinner. This was the first time they got to meet Circle team members, and were at a loss of words experiencing what we've built. I owe them everything. Thanks mom and dad ❤️

A business update for those who’ve asked: - Yes, we will blow past the $50M ARR milestone soon. - We’re on track for our best quarter ever by a stretch, with more free cash flow every month than we can wisely reinvest. - We’re now operating at a rule of 40 of 64, up from 45 at the start of the year. - GMV run rate is now at $250M, growing steadily at 10%+ m/m. (We only let folks sell legit communities and products on Circle - don’t compare this to inflated GMV from scammy marketplaces!) - We’re hiring for 30+ new roles by the end of the year. These are hires we’ve unlocked not from a VC round, but thanks to the free cash flow we’re compounding from our business. Our last priced round was in 2021. - If you’re a senior ML engineer, please reach out to me for the role of your lifetime. - This Sunday, 180+ of our team members fly in to Cascais, Portugal for our 9th offsite. Portugal holds a special place in our heart, since it’s Rudy’s home base and where we did our founding handshake six years ago. - I love my job so much. Today, we complete Circle’s stack with the launch of our own website builder. A quick backstory: When we started Circle, my co-founders Rudy, Andy, and I would often talk about how most websites for creators and digital products felt disconnected from what they actually sold. Visitors might land on a beautiful website, but the moment they signed up or became a member, the experience fractured — dropping them into a different platform that felt fragmented and transactional. As a contract CTO for dozens of creators, it was Rudy’s job to build these websites, and no single platform let him create a cohesive end-to-end experience for his clients. For a while, we were almost convinced the world needed a new website builder for creators that tightly integrated the post-purchase experience. But we talked ourselves out of it after attending the Webflow conference in SF, realizing how daunting it would be to build a full ecosystem for it to succeed. Five years later, we’re finally completing the vision we had from day -100. I’m excited to announce that Circle can finally power the whole experience for creators and community builders. With the launch of our website builder, you can now create beautiful, high-converting landing pages, sales pages, and funnels. Unlike other builders which bifurcate your content and community, we built ours to unify every part of your experience — and by extension, your entire business. This includes your: - Community - Courses - AI agents - Events - Live streams - Memberships - Paywalls - Email marketing - Mobile / desktop app - Workflows Fun fact: Rudy personally led this mega-initiative at Circle.
