Two farmers stranded by rising River Tana floodwaters have been safely rescued by our team in Saka Location, Balambala Sub-County. As waters crept higher and the threat of drowning, alongside hippo and crocodile attacks in the floodwaters, became real and imminent, our responders deployed a speedboat to bring them to safety.

One incident briefly disrupted a voter registration exercise. Business activity remains normal with steady pedestrian and vehicular movement. Machakos County: At approx. 1300hrs, a small group of protesters lit a bonfire along Kitui Road in Machakos Town. Police deployed CS gas and dispersed them. Meru County: At approx. 1300hrs, a small group lit a bonfire in Timau area. Police intervened and dispersed them. Normalcy has resumed. Securex continues to monitor the situation closely.
