What’s striking isn’t just the range of submissions, but the approaches to listening itself. The submissions form a kind of map — not of places, but of attention. Again and again, artists return to a simple but powerful idea: listening is not passive. It is something we do.

An award-winning live performance from Paris! (sort of) Here’s our performance at the Académie Charles Cros award ceremony of “Organ Drift”. Every sound in this piece is made from the same sample of the organ from the Se Velha church in Coimbra, Portugal.

A special shout out and dedication to our community of 2,500 artists around the world, who all share a piece of this award with us. Merci a tous! ❤️🎧

These awards have been running since 1948 and the grands prix have been won by the likes of Eliane Radigue, Buddy Guy, Angelique Kidjo and, erm, Jimi Hendrix so we’re in good company.

🏆 We’ve won an award! I was honoured to be presented with the Grand Prix from the Académie Charles Cros in Paris last night for “parole enregistrée, documents et créations sonores”.
