🇵🇭 Police in the Philippines rode a city bus through a dedicated lane, watched as cars and motorcycles illegally tailed it to skip traffic, then stepped off at the end and ticketed every single one. They didn't even stand a chance ☠️😂

@cfc_nrmnrckwell I don't think the main issue faced by the majority of the Mykad holders is not security but durability.

Talking about intellectual property:
Nazi Germany developed the first true long range guided ballistic missile, the V-2 rocket. Led by Wernher von Braun, this team solved massive engineering hurdles regarding liquid propulsion, aerodynamics, and guidance systems. When Germany fell, Americans stole intellectual property technology that was decades ahead of their own. Operation Paperclip, secretly bringing more than 1,600 German scientists, engineers, and technicians; including von Braun, to the United States. They also captured a massive stockpile of V-2 parts. Early US space(NASA) and missile programs were built directly on the backs of this “acquired” German intellectual property and personnel. Von Braun even went on to design the Saturn V rocket that took Apollo to the moon.
Are you complaining about this type of intellectual property theft?
Over capacity only matters if one can defend it(ask Japan and German companies about their collapse), China can and that’s the real problem. Everything the USA government is currently doing is desperation and isolation, competition is over.
All science and technology has been built by talking someone else’s technology and improving it, that’s never going to change.

@AlawiyahYussof Ibu (1953)?
Don't think I watch this before.
English

Correction:
Found it. A film produced in 1953.
The quote was from the late Haji Mahadi. Not PRamlee. It was something like, 'seseorang itu mungkin lahir tanpa saudara atau keluarga, tapi dia pasti ada ibu'.
Alawiyah Yussof@AlawiyahYussof
I remember a quote by PRamlee in one of his movies (can't remember the name): Ada orang yang lahir tanpa bapa tapi tiada orang yang lahir tanpa ibu Dan, bukan semua yang terpilih atau dianugerah untuk menjadi ibu Saya salah seorangnya Selamat Hari Ibu kepada semua ibu
Indonesia

@citiranger Not this.
There was a song he wrote, Ibu but the name of the movie is not.
The lead actress was Siput Serawak.

@AWSYStuff @SyedJymalZahiid He started it when he built PLUS and Proton.
He's also correct that HSR is unprofitable.
Intact most if not all HSR around the world is.
But it's the macro economy returns that made them worthy.
Ref Japan & China.
English

@SyedJymalZahiid Mahathir started it back in 2018 because he believed HSR was unprofitable & the public believed it because "Najib Korup"...
Yeah, He Lied, and one of his sons funds & built the Double Deckered Road Spaghetti of a Highway that Muhyiddin Supported which the Rakyat Suffered...

She’s thinks she’s clever but she’s poor at mathematics and logic.
She’s totally ignoring compound growth over generations, it’s not a single event of all women at one point in time having 5 kids. There have been at least 3 generations over the last 75 years who could produce children.
China went from ~546 million in 1950 to nearly 970 million by 1979 — *before* the one-child policy even started. Women averaged 5-6 kids in the 50s/60s, and their kids had kids too. Policy only hit in late 1979.
Total 50-year growth needed just ~1.67% per year — totally normal. No “missing billion,” just basic demographics and understanding of mathematics.
