@BeamRiverTown @TheSotaSwede As a kid, I was hit by a pickup truck on a school playground. I was riding my bike home from school. They broke my wrist and hurt my knee, and of course ruined my bike. No citation issued. Thanks for your compassion toward a kid.

@TheSotaSwede If the driver drove through a park and killed a child the charges would be different. However this happened in a street. You have the same rights as drivers on the road therefore you share the same risk and reward.

I found out this week that the driver that ran a red light and hit a child riding her bike, will be receiving a traffic citation. A traffic citation.

@TheSotaSwede Wait. Did you (or she) ride across the crosswalk? That would be illegal, no? The crosswalk is for pedestrians and not vehicles/bikes. Aren't you supposed to ride in traffic lanes, and walk your bike thru crosswalks?

This morning I witnesses a middle school girl get hit by a car on her bike, getting thrown off of it. After I crossed this cross walk on my own bike, I passed the girl going the opposite direction and a driver proceeded to illegally turn right on red here.

Reading a much lauded book that is so terrible, I feel disconnected from my life and everyone in it. How is it possible that I am surrounded by people who can enjoy something so false, hollow and self-involved? I want to fake my own death and leave New York, it's so bad.

@mollypeonies Never had Covid. Girlfriend has had it 3 times in the last 3 years and I’ve never caught it. Have had 4 Covid shots, but not one for at least year. I’m done with the shots, hoping the immune system can take it from here because I started to wonder if the jab was even working.

Anyone on This Website still a NOVID (never known to have Covid)? I still am, but feel like I am really pushing my luck with so many ppl getting it now. I haven’t had a booster since October, I think? Is it time for another? Is there even a new one?

One reason people are skeptical of reform is that shielding police from accountability is how the system is supposed to work. It's a choice the city makes again and again. Mayors and chiefs inevitably decide that without unaccountable police, we'd have hardly any police at all.
