CERT Basic Training academy will take place on May 7-9 and again on May 14-16, with instruction taking place on Thursdays and Fridays from 5:30-8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 am-5:00 p.m. Email CERT@carsoncity.gov for an application.

CERT, along with Carson City Fire, conducted its 3rd annual U.S. flag retirement ceremony today! The ceremony was attended by Mayor Bagwell, Fire Chief Slamon, Supervisor Schuette, and a number of military veterans. In addition, Trail Life Troop NV-2234 provided significant help.

Carson City CERT joined over 50 volunteers from Douglas, Storey, Washoe Counties and Washoe Tribe for first regional flood tabletop exercise. Participants included Search & Rescue, Mounted Posses, VIPS, Parks, and other units prepare to join forces and help our communities.
