TODAY, 12:30, Glens Falls inaugurates Mayor Diana Palmer at the Harding Mazzotti Arena, 1 Civic Center Plaza.

Checking in on the progress of the renovations happening at City Hall - City Clerk's Office and Court/Council Chambers - they are nearing completion and look quite nice. Pics are from earlier this week, and work has progressed even further since then.

The CoGF Community Development Ofc has funds available for housing emergencies this winter. Replacement/repair of failed boilers, furnaces, water heaters etc. Check the Comm Dev page on the city website or call 518-761-3833 if you think you have a qualifying emergency.

The new light at Broad St and New Pruyn is installed and in service. Those must have been frosty work conditions! Keep an eye out for it and drive safely!

Quite a few inches of snow and it hasn't finished yet. Once you have cleared it using your snowblower/shovel, don't forget that the DPW has a grit station at the Dix Ave HQ. Bring your own bucket! (Of course, you might want to wait until tomorrow to take a trip over there!)

A reminder from our DPW now that winter has arrived and before the next accumulation - the city's no overnight parking regulation is very important for snow removal!

Winter racing season in Glens Falls is back starting January 22, 2025. Thursday nights in Cole's Woods (depending on conditions). All levels welcome. Free. There is plenty of time for even beginners to train if you start now. Thanks to the Friends of Cole's Woods!

Yard Debris Open Pick Up ends 11/21. Bag all clippings, trimmings and leaves from then until there is snow. Please use biodegradable bags and do not bag topsoil, sod, stones or other heavy materials.
