i like that hoyo writers on the whole don't shy away from darker themes in world quests or occasionally character story quests, where (for better or for worse) less people play for the story ;; i still think about fontaine's world quests...

sapone's quest that unpacks themes behind stories like her, ex machina, br 2049 (synthetic women as dispensable, replicable providers of emotional gratification); joye's quest about how audiences are equally complicit in warping beauty standards/the frankenstein pursuit of fame

planarcardia's 4.0 world quests are all so heartwrenching the instant you look under the hood of the silly, impossible, almost child-like wrapper they're packaged in. bequea's quest about the commodification of happiness and the manufactured "reality" of tv;

@cityscape It's a bunch of bots patting each other on the back and saying "good work!" For plagiarizing *our* work! I ran to shut off Gemini when it suggested complete lies for a reply to a friend's email, like wtf do you know!? Get out of my emails! 😤

These AI detectors are garbage imho. I ran a chunk of one of my fics through one, and it said 21% was likely written using AI. What? I have NEVER used AI to write fic, and ALSO that fic was written & published BEFORE ChatGPT launched. My fics got scraped by AI. It copied ME 😤
