Writing this from my hospital bed in France having smashed up my leg skiing. Looking at health care as a patient through the prisms of pain fear and vulnerability. The treatment was efficient and effective but lacking in compassion and empathy.

Doctors are seen as powerful, but we're pretty powerless. Most health is environmentally determined. We need healthy homes & workplaces, healthy air, rivers, oceans & nutritious food. We need a wide range of healthy plants & animals. Medicine can add to this but not substitute it

My elastic has snapped & I cannot do this anymore. For first time in 18 months I am burned out & unable to go on. I have just left my surgery in tears and despair. Just 10000000 straws that broke camels back. I feel ashamed & weak. Thank you unkind public, government and media.

Thanks to everyone at the shah Jahan Mosque in Woking, Professor Aftab Ala, and local GPs for helping get this organised.
NHS Surrey and Sussex@NHSSurreySussex

Local GP Federation @NICS_fed have linked up with the Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking to set up a Covid-19 vaccination clinic there today. They’re vaccinating 60 people with pre-booked appointments and hope to offer more vaccine services from the mosque at a later date.
