I have never understood the Raleigh/Charlotte beef. Hornets have their first home playoff game in a decade tonight and the Canes just won the East regular season for the first time since the Cup and all I’m seeing today is city discourse.

@JBRBracketology I think a lot of it will come down to Tanner getting him the right pieces for him to work with. Hopefully his knowledge of how to be successful in the league works with recruits

WOW. That's a stunning hire for North Carolina.
Malone hasn't worked in college basketball since he was an assistant at Manhattan University in 2001. Has never worked at UNC and has no prior relationship with the school nor the ACC. He has never been a head coach in College Basketball either.
It *could* work, just very surprised this is the route UNC took given their last two hires were Roy Williams and Hubert Davis.
