Pictures from the best week of my life.
Last August, six of my closest friends and I went to Double Rafter Ranch in Sheridan, Wyoming for a four day cattle drive. There was no cell service. No electricity. No phones, and no noise. Just us, on a working ranch, and the Kerns family- seventh generation ranchers who homesteaded that land in 1887.
We slept in tipis.
We rode horses up terrain that didn’t make physical sense.
We pinned a 600 pound bull.
We vaccinated a herd.
We burned our work gloves in the fire on the last night.
And we also came home different.
The images burned in my mind will never be done justice through an iPhone camera. These come the closest I’m gonna get.
Full story is up now on Barstool. Link in my bio. If you have the means and the friends to do this, go.
Don’t wait. Don’t put it on a list.
The Kerns family is the REAL THING in a country full of simulations of the real thing.
