Monday, May 15 is Black Excellence Day! The day brings attention to the brilliance, achievements & talents of students of African descent. Students & staff are invited to wear black T-shirts to celebrate and stand in unity to support the day.
@cjses1 and @AtlanticViewES finished up their skipping unit last week. Many students increased their jump rope ninja belts and we even had a grade 4 student show off their skipping skills to older grades ❤️
Such a fun visit today with the KRC at @cjses1 where 3/4 of the students in Gd P-6 are taking part! That’s 120 runners! Thx to @Ms_Robertson_PE & the other awesome volunteers for making this possible. @HRCEHealthPromo@taphens
We made and gave out over 200 smoothies today for the whole school to celebrate Nutrition Month with a delicious snack @cjses1!! Huge thanks to our volunteer Leader Team from gr5 and to the Nutrition Grant from @HRCEHealthPromo! 🍓 🥭 🍊🫐🥤😋 @HRCESchoolsPlus
Thanks so much @athleticsns for this amazing opportunity where @cjses1 students get to meet and be taught by @BenBrown191, a successful multi sport para-athlete from NS. #FastestKidinNS
During playtime students decided to play school. It was amazing to hear them say words that I say during instruction time! Plus that’s one tough teacher…he is getting them to count way higher than I do! 😁👨🏫@cjses1@HRCE_Math
Class created Alphabet Linking Chart✅, list of Family names we use in our writing ✅, exciting new writing paper✅, fancy new blue folder ✅… Looks like Primary Ashley is ready for our new Writing time! @cjses1@HRCE_NS@HrceLiteracy
@cjses1 GSA allies sent out some warm words of appreciation and happy Holiday wishes to our school staff for a random act of kindness. Kindness matters. ❤️ 🌈
