Grimsby Town owner Jason Stockwood has revealed that Manchester United staff enquired as to where the manager’s dressing room would be at the 9,000-seater Blundell Park ahead of the team’s Carabao Cup game on Wednesday night — with Stockwood joking that his own manager David Artell might be likely to get changed in his car than have a personal changing room. During an extended conversation with The Athletic FC podcast on Thursday, Stockwood said: “I’ll tell you one funny quick thing. With Manchester United coming to town, they sent us almost a rider for the manager and it was like, where’s the manager’s changing room? And I was like, f***ing hell, the manager’s changing room? For us, it is the back of his car. “The manager has a changing room at Man United? I thought that was quite amusing. They clearly didn’t know what they were coming into. When the players came off the bus and onto the pitch, I stood around and the United players did not look like they were up for it. It was all the cliches." A eBay seller (trader not individual) just tried to fob me off an say I should go to the manufacturer, after I contacted it when the tech item I bought went faulty. This may be practical but isn't correct. I thought their response and my reply may be useful to others... [I have anonymised some bits as not picking on an individual but explaining the concept] eBay Trader: Hello Martin. Thank you for reaching out, your [ITEM] has come with warranty from [MANUFACTURER]. you will need to contact them for any warranty support Thank you My reply: Thank you. I am also speaking to [MANUFACTURER], and hopefully it will sort it. If not however I need to be plain your answer isn't correct under UK law. My legal rights are with you as the retailer, and they are Statute based. The warranty is a contractual document. If the [ITEM] is faulty (which it is) then it is your legal obligation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to deal with that. As it is more than a month after purchase - repair or replacement is the obligation. legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/… I hope {MANUFACTURER] can fix it, but if not then I will be coming back to you to ask you to look after this.
