Hello everyone. It’s Nicole here (Sean’s wife) I wanted to let you all know that unfortunately Sean passed away yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly. Sean was a fierce advocate for disability rights, it was his passion and his calling. He never stopped fighting for the rights of disabled people. He faced many battles in his life, and took them all on with strength and resilience I have never seen before. As many of you know and may have worked with Sean, he was intelligent, funny, warm…I could go on. Sean was also a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother. He loved and was loved by many. As you can imagine, we are all utterly heartbroken. Keep fighting the good fight in Sean’s memory - it’s what he would have wanted. Nicole

One thing about being in hospital far too much is you get to know all the staff very well. But my favourites are the volunteers, who bring the trolley round and know I’m going to raid it for the infection fighting calories I need. And I feel like I’m on the Hogwarts Express.

I couldn’t be there today for my Auntie Eileen’s final farewell. I remember wanting to pop in and see her after my first graduation - because she always told me I could do anything I wanted. She told everyone they were able to reach their dreams, no matter how big or small.

Weird day today. I’m much less productive but a physio timed it perfectly to hear the bottom of my right lung is very, very quiet. This means my suspicion that air isn’t getting in was right. War declared for my next physio session. But I am starting to feel better.
