I’m sorry but I am genuinely convinced the Italian jury do this on purpose, either to be ✨edgy✨ or to try and reduce the competition so that they have a better chance of winning. Because no way in hell was their winner last year the UK and this year Belgium.

I have seen a lot of discussion re: the Italian 🇮🇹 jury's tendency to downvote/ignore favorites in #eurovision. As an Italian, I'll try my best to explain why I do think this happens and why I don't think it's done in a tactical/strategic way like most eurofans think 👀

@ge_aldrig_upp Assolutamente si, votano per ciò che è radiofonico. Infatti hanno dato punteggi alti a canzoni come Snap, 10 years, Discoteque, Tattoo, Zorra (ma anche De Diepte)...

Most Italian jurors tend to award the kind of songs that they can "rationalize" as "worthy" in their mental categories, which is whatever inoffensive pop song in English they can see being a hit on Italian radio.
This is how I could actually predict our 12p of 🇧🇪 before the show

Remember many of them have Sanremo as their only comparison meter and are detached from ESC as they can be, and therefore in their personal categories Käärijä is a goblin, Erika Vikman is a slut, Tommy Cash insults the entire 🇮🇹 population, Nemo is a skirt-wearing f*ggot etc.

a question about sign language interpreters at eurovision: do they sign in the language of the performance or of the broadcast? For example, does the RAI interpreter sign Finland’s song in Italian sign language or Finnish sign language?

Non voglio fare teorie del complotto, però bisognerebbe vedere se le giurie che hanno votato quel paese, in che posizione hanno messo la 🇸🇪
