Bitter sweet and still trying to make sense of a few things. I’m happy that Pakistan chose this path instead of joining the war for KSA. Reports are that KSA didn’t want a war either but had it continued, we’d have had no choice. So mediation was the best option. I also know that trump needed an off ramp after his crazy outburst which I’m sure the gulf countries and his own advisors must have told him to rethink. Israel of course wants an all out nuke war but they’re not the only ones who get affected. I do think that Russia and China vetoing the resolution yesterday also played a role in convincing trump to consider Iran’s 10 points. I’m happy that these points will be the starting point of the negotiations instead of trump’s. Pakistan mediated on behalf of trump, there’s no question about that. That’s why on cue they’d start acting but the outcome is the best case scenario so it’s good. I don’t really care about the draft tweet tbh that people are making a huge deal about. Whoever wrote it doesn’t matter right now. Domestic politics should be done at home not international stage.
