From age 34-40: -2.5 bWAR | .710 OPS | 655 Hits | 65 HR If he retired after 33, he’d have: 69.7 bWAR | 155 OPS+ | 2519 Hits | 446 HR Instead, he has: 67.2 bWAR | 140 OPS+ | 3174 Hits | 511 HR For a lot of people, those last 7 seasons where he was far below replacement level move him up a TON in their all-time hitter rankings due to simply reaching 3000 hits and 500 HR and it makes little sense to me
