An elderly man named Richard came out of retirement to deliver food for DoorDash because he and his wife were struggling to pay their bills. A customer watched on her doorbell camera as he slowly climbed the steps to deliver her order. She later learned he was working again in his 80s just to get by. She gave him a $200 tip and started a fundraiser. Strangers stepped in, raising over $80,000 to help him retire again. Sometimes the internet gets it right. ❤️

We are thrilled to announce the signing of Clare Docherty from Ayr United . Clare brings a wealth of experience to MTC Park, having enjoyed a distinguished career that has seen her represent some of Scotland's biggest clubs including Celtic, Rangers, Kilmarnock and Motherwell. A forward who has represented Scotland at youth level, Clare was crowned SWPL Championship Player of the Season and won the Ayr United Women Fans' Player of the Year award following an impressive campaign in which she scored 20 goals. The Gartcairn staff have been very impressed with Clare since first seeing her play five years ago, and have continually been impressed by her performances and professionalism throughout that time. Her combination of playing experience at the highest levels of Scottish women's football, her leadership qualities, and her proven goalscoring ability make her an outstanding addition to our SWPL 2 squad. We are delighted to welcome Clare to the Gartcairn family and look forward to seeing her make an immediate impact.
