@bonniegillespie Woof. I’ve been listening to a lot of Brené Brown. She talks about how it’s a privilege to be white and be able to opt out of the trauma. Be brave and be willing to sit in the trauma with those who are actually victimized by it. It’s the only way to be anti racist.

I don’t know about you but my inbox is overflowing with white women wanting to make sure I know how *they* feel about racism this week. 🙄

@terrycrews @DrIbram has been doing this incredible work in identifying racism within ones self- if you’ve got the bandwidth I’d love you to weigh in.

I agree. I'm not discussing white people here. there are "gatekeepers of Blackness" within our own community who decide who's Black and who's not. I have often been called out for not being "black enough". How can that be?

@DanielleCasting Yes! I’m a big believer that a “no” in one opportunity creates the space in my calendar (and heart) for the next one— and the stories we are meant to tell will always find us!

The emotional and mental capacity to receive no’s from a business you want so much to succeed in can be very difficult to undertake. But you know your self worth and you know if you get no’s you’re just opening doors to bigger and better things in store.#actorslife #bestrong
