Unfathomable: it is time for the final Uppsala 2025 @GA4GH Connect session, which is ”Path to normative: implementing a GA4GH maturity model,” where the focus is on implementer-driven collaboration to shape the next steps for GKS standards. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Now @GA4GH Connect, ”In the (GIF) Spotlight: highlighting GA4GH implementations,” a session on a proposed new initiative (GIF Spotlights) showcasing successful GA4GH implementation stories by gathering and publishing content from the community. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Next up @GA4GH Connect: ”Generating guidelines for community-driven portals for infectious disease research,” where the focus is on developing a set of guidelines content to be included in a community-driven, infectious disease-focused web portal. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

The first post-lunch session @GA4GH Connect is ”Shaping the future of the GA4GH Cancer Community of Interest,” is a participatory workshop that will reimagine the Cancer Community of Interest’s value, purpose, and outputs. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Finally, we also have the second part of the session ”The next step toward clinical application of GA4GH products: a sequel!” @GA4GH Connect. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

The second parallel session @GA4GH Connect is ”Solving Beacon queries” where some commonly requested queries from (for instance) the Cancer and Rare Disease Communities will be discussed. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

The first of three post-fika @GA4GH Connect parallel sessions is, ”The Cloud Work Stream road map 2026 and beyond,” participants will explore how to evolve current initiatives (data and federated compute) in 2026 and beyond. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

The parallel @GA4GH Connect session, ”Securing Beacon Networks with Passports and trust federation,” focuses on exploring how to secure Beacon Networks with Passports and trust federation. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

3rd & final day of @GA4GH Connect! In the two-part session, ”The next step toward clinical application of GA4GH products: a sequel,” participants will prioritize and choose the first set of items that will help bring GA4GH products into clinical use. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Now @GA4GH Connect, the ”Next steps on the use of Verifiable Credentials (models and protocols) for improving Passports” session, intended to shape new specific standards that take benefit of relevant technologies, & improve the use of Passport visas. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

”Scaling the Federated Variant-Level Matching Network” is the next parallel session @GA4GH Connect. Here, the federated Variant-Level Matching (VLM) network explores approaches to scaling the network and adding new functionalities. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Next up @GA4GH Connect, ”An analytics dashboard for everything GA4GH,” a session focusing on the new dashboard under development by the GA4GH Tech Team. It will show the impact GA4GH has had so far, using a user-friendly graphical interface. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Now @GA4GH Connect, ”Leveraging GA4GH’s Tools & Standards to Balance Pathogen Data Sovereignty with Open Access” focuses on recs/tools using technical & policy standards to balance data sovereignty rights with data access, & equitable benefit-sharing. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Also @GA4GH Connect, ”Where is global? Geolocation in genomics,” focused on finalizing a proposal for a geographic location object, while addressing questions such as provenance assignment, and how to best limit exposure to re-identification risks. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC

Post-lunch parallel session 1 @GA4GH Connect is ”Passports that scale: lightweight tokens and federated trust,” addresses challenges to implementing seamless federated authentication across genomics platforms. #ga4ghconnect @SciLifeLab_DC
