In case you hadn't seen it, here's the briefing doc obtained by @Channel4News from the EA to the SoS of @DefraGovUK explaining how to fiddle bathing water quality reports.

A briefing document sent by the EA to the Secretary of State outlined how issuing ‘no bathing warnings’ legally allowed them to disregard bathing water test results. That they “play a major part in building the overall macro narrative of an upward trend in bathing water”
