@LilaDavachi @samnastase @ptoncompmemlab @eLife @Qihong_Lu @esfinn yeees, and add more precision, like by naming the processes engaged by movie content (eg, social inference task by way of mystery movie). I look forward to when we have more validated tasks that also happen to be movies, but until then… anything but natural

Now out in @eLife! Epic modeling work by the amazing
@Qihong_Lu (with shared code) that uses neural networks & RL to explore how episodic memory supports event prediction in naturalistic memory tasks.

@nadiabrashier @CBSNews Sure sure- I didn't mean to imply that just any journalist should be taking on that role. But science communication is a career, and an important one. Are you qualified? Absolutely- your particular research demands that skill. But it is 100% a skill.
English

@claregrall @CBSNews I disagree - this is how science gets miscommunicated. It’s important to get the details right, and the media does so less than half the time. Who could be more qualified to describe my own experiments than me (or my coauthor)?

I'm excited that @CBSNews covered our recent work! But I was surprised that they didn't interview us directly. Seems like it would be good for media covering scientific studies to ask the scientists behind the work, no?
