Labour's manifesto promised to "remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition & acceptance". That entails ending the Tories' ban on puberty blockers. Young people – cis & trans – must have access to healthcare they need. I'll always stand with the trans community.

The scale of the pushback against @Waterstones for sacking a member of staff for standing against transphobia is a joy to see.

Disappointed and so disillusioned with publishing right now. Shame on Waterstones and solidarity with @TillyLovesBooks and most of all trans people just trying to live their lives. Clare’s thread here is way more articulate than the sweary rage I can summon for this
