V. Woolf was very brave. we should understand that those among us who suffer from lifelong melancholia/depression -- like Woolf, & also Plath, Sexton, Hemingway--should be celebrated for keeping themselves alive, productive & working, for so many years. not when they finally died but how long they persevered bravely & accomplished so much is what is memorable.
