And so the Historical Football Kits website has, due to the current fad of random obscure patterned shirts, also ceased to show new kits. Such a shame designers and clubs have gone down that route.

Been a while....just to say the site is still active but apart from a couple of exceptions, will only be concentrating on historical kits....this is 100% due to the current ridiculous trend of obscure printed patterns on shirts...impossible to recreate.

Yes an actual update to the site has just happened! However I will now be concentrating on histories rather than current kits. It was either this or closing down! kitclassics.co.uk

It is with deep regret that the likelihood is that kitclassics.co.uk will close when the current hosting fee runs out in May 2023. New designs have simply become far too complex for my drawing technique/ability, in addition there are many other things that now take up 1/2

Further to this....the likelihood is that in time the site will concentrate on past kits because to be quite honest the current wildly patterned trend on shirts makes it almost impossible to attempt to replicate. Sad times

Sadly the website has been neglected particularly in respect of 2021-22 kits, partly due to lack of time but also due to the absolutely shockingly patterned shirts that are now the norm which to be honest has deterred me from even attempting to draw them.

@zakl99 Thanks I've had lots of other stuff going on so haven't had the time...plus many shirts this season have complex designs.

It is with a heavy heart that due to the complexity of the majority of the shirt patterns I will no longer be including away and 3rd kits on the site. I despair at the current trend of unnecessary gaudy prints on shirts, they are becoming more and more obscure!

These ultra patterned shirts could well spell the end of my Classic Kits website. Just becoming way too complex to draw.
