Went to Las Vegas by myself riddled w/ nerves & excitement. It’s the first time I ever travelled anywhere by myself. But, a huge part of me knew I was never truly alone. To everyone who took the time to meet up, thank you so much for showing me you care. I miss you all already.💜

Allegiant Stadium held about 65k attendees for each of 4 shows. Some people repeated shows but we can safely assume ~200k people came across the week. A $200m estimate of economic impact assumes we only spent about $1k each. To which I say LOL. It’s definitely an underestimate.

Somewhere in America right now, a middle school is promoting a student to high school who cannot read. An elementary school passed them first. Everyone was nice about it. Nobody helped.

@mrmikeMTL Arrived at my gate to find my flight delayed, the waiting area loud, crowded and hot. I was so annoyed that I had to laugh at myself. I’m sure folks thought I was nuts! I was trying to not laugh too loud but tears were rolling down my face. I felt better. 🤣🤣

What’s the last thing that made you genuinely laugh out loud?

@puckandprose @ganseyyiii It is an adjustment, especially on work from home days. I am writing paper or prepping for a meeting and she decides this is the time to clean out the fridge.😂

@ganseyyiii my parents stayed with me (in a city on the other side of the world) after not living together since I was 18. & the amount of times they were bothered that I wasn’t studying (I had graduated and was working) was insane. or how I was in my room too much. it’s such an adjustment😭

i’ve moved back home to my parent’s place for the summer while i study for the bar exam. and like i was prepared for the adjustments of living with 5 ppl again after having lived on my own for 3 years. but the worst thing i did not prepare for was my parents now for some reason

@PriyankaLahiri_ I think it depends. I like the flexibility traveling by myself gives me but every now and then a partner is good, too.

Unpopular opinion but travelling with a group is a pain. Travelling with one or two like minded people is ok. You cannot enjoy anything. You are exhausted accommodating stupidity of all kinds. Travelling solo is the best thing to do if you have budget

@Sabiha1278 A gap year is common. I think it would be a great option for many students instead of not making best use of parent’s money or other resources.

I need some advice. My 18-year-old son was accepted into a great university, but he wants to take a gap year to travel and "find himself." I worry that once he leaves school, he may never go back. Has anyone allowed their child to take a gap year, and did it help or hurt their future?

I fell asleep after dinner yesterday & missed so much. Vegas final cincert highlights (wish I coukd have been there), Joon & JK lives, and JK being spotted at the airport. So, I'm wondering, does anyone know why they didn't all fly out together or have I heard wrong?
