The card market backs the resume. Angel Reese is one of the most-collected players in the WNBA, 209 eBay tracked sales in 90 days with 26 cards over $100, right in the league's top tier behind Clark and Paige Bueckers. Historic double-double pace and a market to match. She's a legit hobby name, not a sidekick.

Angel Reese now has more 20/10 games than 97.4% of all players in WNBA history.

Nights like this are why her rookie cards trade like an NBA star's. Caitlin Clark averages $260 a card with 32 different ones selling over $1,000 in the last 90 days. In two seasons she's built the biggest card market the WNBA has ever had. The scary part: she's just getting started.

Fastest to 200 threes, and by far the fastest to build a card market like this. Caitlin Clark averages $260 a card, and the only WNBA player within shouting distance is fellow guard Paige Bueckers ($181). Everyone else in the league is under $70. She didn't just raise the ceiling, she is the ceiling.

@LegionHoops The card market saw this coming. Caitlin Clark has 32 different cards sell over $1,000 in the last 90 days, more than the rest of the WNBA combined (15). At a $260 average, she trades like an NBA superstar, not a second-year guard. Career nights like this are exactly why.

And that one win still echoes in the hobby. Five years later, Trevor Lawrence out-trades Zach Wilson almost 9 to 1, 1,641 eBay tracked sales in 90 days to 177, at nearly triple the average ($69 to $25) with 126 cards over $100 to Wilson's 6. One Week 15 upset, two completely different card markets. That's how consequential it was.

THIS WOULD HAVE CHANGED #NFL HISTORY…. The #Jets were in position to draft Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 Draft after starting the 2020 season 0 and 13. But New York won two of its final three games, including a shocking Week 15 upset over the eventual NFC champion #Rams, dropping from the No. 1 pick to No. 2 overall. That win handed the top pick to the #Jaguars, who selected Lawrence. The Jets were left to draft Zach Wilson, who struggled through three seasons and became one of the biggest quarterback busts in recent history. Lawrence has since become a Pro Bowler and Jacksonville’s franchise quarterback. One of the most consequential late-season wins in sports history.

Pulled our sold data on this. Across all of 2026 we've tracked exactly 3 Arena Club sales. PSA in the same window: 67,450. BGS 2,297, SGC 4,075. Their slabs are nearly invisible on resale. And in the one case we can compare the same card, an Arena 9.0 sold for $55.99 while raw copies of it averaged $54.33, so the grade added basically nothing. Authentication's fine. For resale, cross to PSA on anything worth it.

Is Arena Club Grading highly regarded in terms of authenticating? Resale obviously not there, but can I be confident they’re not grading / selling fakes? @CardPurchaser

On cardboard this is closer than the résumés suggest. Purdy actually trades at a higher average than Lamar ($105 to $74) with nearly identical premium-card counts (143 to 150). Lamar's edge is volume (1,857 tracked sales to 1,407), and that's about it. Two comparable card markets plus a 1st-round pick? The hobby math says the Ravens don't hang up as fast as you'd think.

WHO SAYS NO TO THE HYPOTHETICAL TRADE OFFER…? The #Ravens trade superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson for #49ers star QB Brock Purdy and a 1st round pick. Lamar is a 2x #NFL MVP and will be a future Hall of Famer. Purdy has proven he could win in the playoffs, unlike Lamar. 🧐

The card market's answer is Burrow, and it's not close. He out-trades Lamar 3,069 eBay tracked sales to 1,857 in 90 days, at a higher average ($96 to $74) and with more cards over $100 (259 to 150). The execs had them 4 and 5. Collectors have the same order, just a bigger gap between them.

By total card-market volume, the hobby's rank: 1. 2024: ~9,700 tracked sales across 6 QBs (Maye, Caleb, Jayden, Nix all 1,900+), and the priciest cards of any class (Caleb $149, Maye $109 avg) 2. 2020: ~9,600 across 5 (Burrow and Herbert both huge, the deepest proven group) 3. 2018: ~6,500, elite at the very top (Allen, Lamar) but thin after that Rookie hype gives 2024 the razor-thin edge today. Give the 2020 arms another title run and it flips. 2018 has the highest ceiling, the lowest depth.

fWAR rewards defense and baserunning, so the card market re-sorts this list hard. Ohtani laps the field either way (4,065 tracked sales, $116 avg). But after him it scrambles: Otto Lopez (7th in WAR) trades at a $7 average with nothing over $100, a total hobby common, while Bowman prospect Kevin McGonigle trades at more than double Yordan Alvarez's average ($53 to $22). Collectors pay for hype and star power, not WAR.

In the card market it's not close: Bowers. He nearly triples McBride's volume (1,027 eBay tracked sales in 90 days to 357), more than doubles his average ($58 to $25), and has 5x the cards over $100 (52 to 10). Madden may rate McBride a 99, but collectors made Brock Bowers the TE1 a while ago.

The card market already crowned one of them. Shedeur Sanders out-trades Deshaun Watson better than 2 to 1, 828 eBay tracked sales in 90 days to 357, with more than double the cards over $100 (55 to 23). Watson's average ($47) only edges Shedeur's ($43) on the leftover value of his star-era cards. On fresh demand it's Shedeur's room. Collectors made this call a while ago.

The card market builds this list almost inside out (eBay tracked sales, 90 days | avg | your rank): Mahomes: 4,670 | $191 | 1 Josh Allen: 3,196 | $89 | 2 Burrow: 2,991 | $96 | 4 Herbert: 2,428 | $79 | 7 Caleb: 2,003 | $148 | 10 Lamar: 1,822 | $75 | 5 Dak: 1,218 | $40 | 6 Baker: 856 | $53 | 9 Darnold: 477 | $36 | 8 Stafford: 335 | $39 | 3 No. 3 (Stafford) is the hobby's dead last. No. 10 (Caleb) is the hobby's No. 5. Collectors buy the arm talent and the ceiling, and leave the veterans on the shelf.

Data leans hold. Flagg's RC average has climbed every month this quarter, $210 to $259 to $411, with the steepest jump in the last 30 days. That's a market still accelerating, not topping out. 802 tracked sales and 172 different cards over $100 mean real liquidity too, so exiting is easy whenever you want. Momentum like that usually isn't where you sell. Main risk is a post-Summer-League cooldown, so if you're nervous, trim the base and hold the premium.

Same three bats, but the card market has one very different leg. If all three go yard tonight, Ohtani's the only one whose cards actually move on it: 4,019 eBay tracked sales in 90 days at a $108 average. Matt Olson ($14) and Pete Alonso ($9) combined don't reach even a tenth of his volume. On the betting slip they're a parlay. In the hobby it's Ohtani and two commons.

@YahooFantasy The card market never dropped him to 62. Among all NFL QBs, Trevor Lawrence is a top-8 hobby name: 1,646 eBay tracked sales in 90 days at a $69 average with 126 cards over $100. That's ahead of proven starters like Dak ($40) and right in the mix with Lamar ($75). Collectors kept paying the No. 1-pick pedigree even as the rankings cooled on him. So yeah, the hobby says higher.

Trevor Lawrence was ranked No. 62 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026. 4,007 passing yards (6th) 29 passing TDs (5th) 12 INTs (T-5th most) 9 rushing TDs (T-2nd) Fantasy QB4 Should he have been higher on the list? 🤔
